My wife was recently diagnosed with type II diabetes and her doctor sent a test kit home with us. After reading every inch of the instruction manual I was more confused than ever, fortunately I finally figured it out but a good video would have explained it in less than a minute without words.

My step-dad had Type II diabetes also, his family lived around the kitchen table. Unfortunately he never learned to control it through exercise, abstaining from no-no foods and eventually it killed him. There are classes available almost everywhere to help newly effected learn how to cope with their diabetes.

Well...I *am* an 'anglo' and I love BALDO. I especially like the sequence when Baldo was being pressured to fight and go hurt some other guy because of an insult...and Baldo declined.

*CLASSY!*

I really, really liked that. I became a permanent fan after that. Yeah, it's true: I'm a 'Cabacho', but I love the story of Baldo and his family. Keep up the good work and know that you are loved out here in Orange County, California

Hey guys,

This strip concludes our crossover week with David Alvarez.

Thanks for hanging with us these last few weeks and being supportive of our Hispanic Heritage Month guests artist here in Baldo land. It was great fun, and a unique opportunity to try something different and mix things up a bit.

I’d like to express my sincerest appreciation to all of our talented guest artists for their contributions. Particularly, David Alvarez for his contribution on Sunday and daily strips (and for Yenny). As well as all of the loyal Yenny readers that came over and visited us for this entertaining experiment.

Feel free to come back and visit us anytime. Our casa es su casa.

I'd have to agree with Crafts. The current theme for Baldo is foolish and not very funny at all. Baldo dating that chick is one thing...his dad is another. It's quite a sick idea and frankly, ruins my breakfast.

I just read the Sunday comics. I was disgusted and shocked after viewing the baldo strip. This is very inappropriate material for a comic page viewed by young boys and girls. What was published is soft porn, and is more appropriate for a girlie magazine, NOT a comic strip. I am so sorry you chose to print this type of content in your strip. I hope you rethink the appropriateness of such content.
Thank You.

Ok guys, long time fan, first time writer. Awesome, genuinely funny strip. Now, to business...
I only caught it recently, but it seems our hero has found a knockout hottie over the web. This friendship must continue. It must not stop. Why?
It goes without saying that we want Baldo to s ucceed in all things. Unfortunately, too many writers have a lead character who finds a hot girl and then milks the situation (as it were) by making said hero the brunt of an endless stream of wretchedly predictable jokes involving his screw-ups. This cannot always be! We want Baldo to win. Why not win in love?

I was born of a white mother and a Mexican father, and my father was an ambitious young man who learned English much earlier than any of the rest of his family, ending up at a high-paying, successful job. Because of this, I've never really known much about Mexican culture - I grew up in suburbia. But this kind of comment confuses me - why would you consider it being "shoved" down your throat? If it really annoys you that much (which I earnestly can understand), can't you just change the channel to something else for the 3-5 minute segment on the news about it? I don't think anyone's really a victim here, and it definitely isn't a select few narrow-minded losers who feel that culture is a bad thing.

Pardon my rather lengthy bout there, if it makes me even a fourth as sickened as you, that seems enough to rant a bit, eh?

Yeah, you never know how people will respond to your sense of humor-mine included! My whole family uses humor across the board, and there is no end to the dry wit and cynical humor that starts to invade your brain cells even when you sleep. But I say, like you I imagine, that it's far better to laugh than to be a miserable twit!
